JC is a serial entrepreneur, mentor and investor with over 30 years experience. With a background in music, media, IP and events he has hands-on experience of most types of entrepreneurial financing as well as the day-to-day management of growing businesses. Following the recent sale of his business, Skint Records, JC is again focusing on cultivating entrepreneurship and building business value in Brighton and beyond. Co-founder.
Martin works full time in Ventures and has been involved in the funding of over 100 early stage, (mostly tech / digital) businesses in the past 15 years. Formerly Head of Ventures at Compaq and currently Head of Ventures at Smartbridge. Constantly courting investors and hanging out with Entrepreneurs. An average poet, a very poor leg-spinner and a less than reluctant socialite. Co-founder.
Sean has more than twenty years experience in leading operational change for both large and small organisations; clients have included O2, Unilever, The World Bank and npower. Sean played a pivotal role in growing an IT services consultancy to a Sunday Times Fast Track 100 listing, prior to its acquisition by a global tech company. His investment preferences are for companies innovating in digital technologies. Co-founder & Partner.
A 25+ year career in new business creation, corporate turnarounds and performance improvement. With a strategy innovation perspective, & an eye for operational efficiency. Now with a focus on digital investments with smaller, high growth businesses, his sectoral expertise and network is strong.
